Coach Valerie is the Founder of Lifting Your Life Coaching and a seasoned leader in the health and wellness industry, with over 40 years of experience helping individuals transform their lives from the inside out. Having personally maintained a remarkable 135-pound weight loss for more than 40 years, she brings a rare blend of lived experience, professional insight, and heartfelt compassion to every person she serves.
At the core of Coach Valerie’s philosophy is a simple yet powerful belief: true wellness begins in the mind. She teaches that when individuals strengthen their mindset, they unlock the ability to become the healthiest, most empowered version of themselves—mind, body, and spirit. Her work is deeply rooted in building community, fostering meaningful connections, and creating supportive environments where people feel seen, encouraged, and capable of lasting change.
Rather than standing above or ahead, Coach Valerie walks alongside those she coaches. Her coaching journey began with her own transformation—releasing 95 pounds more than 25 years ago—a milestone that reshaped her understanding of lasting change. The challenges she overcame, and the lessons she learned, have enabled her to maintain that transformation, embodying the resilience and self-trust she now helps others develop.
Julie’s career was shaped by her long-standing collaboration with founding Master Coach Val, evolving from protégé to trusted guide and friend. This partnership, rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to growth, reinforced Julie’s belief that true transformation happens through presence, compassion, and consistency in real life.
Her approach is grounded, sustainable, and focused on what works over time. Julie combines practical guidance with deep empathy and lived wisdom, offering a steady, seasoned presence to her clients. Coach Mel is living proof that transformation is possible. Starting at 423 pounds, she fought to reclaim her health and discovered that true change begins in the mind. Her journey of resilience and strength now fuels her mission to help others rise above limitations and thrive.
With over 30 years in child welfare and 15 years coaching and training professionals, Mel is a trusted leader and dynamic voice for empowerment. Her passion for powerlifting taught her that physical strength mirrors mental fortitude—a principle she shares through speaking, mentoring, and guiding others.
Beyond her professional work, Mel hosts the podcast Making Mel Health in the Hustle, where she explores practical strategies for prioritizing wellness in a busy life. Her conversations inspire listeners to embrace balance, self-care, and empowerment—no matter how demanding their schedules.
Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Health Sciences with a focus on menopause and strength training, Mel equips others with practical strategies for sustainable wellness. She is passionate about mindset, strength training, and creating food that is as nourishing as it is delicious. The kitchen is one of her happiest places, where she proves that healthy eating can be joyful and flavorful.
Mel’s message is simple: wellness should feel empowering, not restrictive; health is the ultimate goal, and when your mindset is strong, success is inevitable.
Coach Patty
Coach Patty, LMSW, is a dedicated health and wellness coach with over five years of experience helping individuals achieve lasting transformation. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Patty combines evidence-based strategies with empathy and insight, guiding clients to uncover and address the emotional patterns that influence their behaviors.
Her personal journey began in 2016, sparked by a single family photo that revealed how much she had been hiding—from the camera and from herself. That pivotal moment ignited her commitment to change, leading to a 90-pound weight loss driven by her desire to improve her health and start a family.
Like many, Patty faced setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, but those challenges deepened her understanding of how stress, life transitions, and mindset shape healthy outcomes. Today, she continues her own wellness journey with renewed purpose—this time, for herself.
Patty believes that sustainable weight loss starts with mindset. Her passion lies in helping others move beyond quick fixes and temporary solutions, empowering them to embrace self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful growth. For Patty, digging deep isn’t just a method—it’s her mission.
Coach Nikki
Coach Nikki is a dedicated wellness coach, singer, wife, and mother of three. She brings nearly five years of experience guiding individuals and groups on their wellness journeys, along with over two decades of helping individuals and couples cultivate healthy, connected relationships. Nikki combines her lived experience with proven strategies to empower others to thrive in their unique personal paths.
Having navigated her own complex relationship with food and wellness—including achieving a transformative 70+ pound weight loss—Nikki offers empathy, insight, and practical tools to support sustainable change. Her approach is compassionate, encouraging, and infused with high energy and touches of humor to make even the toughest challenges feel manageable.
Passionate about equipping others with hope and actionable guidance, Nikki believes in the power of community and looks forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
Outside of coaching, Nikki enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, exploring the outdoors, singing, dancing, playing games, listening to music, streaming great shows, and embracing life’s simple joys.
